13 Found Guilty Tuesday in Mount Vernon Municipal Court

MOUNT VERNON – Judge Thatcher found twenty three guilty after arraignments and
hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on September 11, 2018.
Shawna Posey, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug
Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine.
Caleb Benedetti, 23 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While
Under the Influence and Improper Lane Usage. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500
fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of
community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver
intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year for the OVI
charge. He was also sentenced to pay a $25 fine for the Improper Lane Usage charge.
Heather Keener, 32 of Mount Liberty, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While
Under the Influence. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail,
with 177 days suspended, placed her on two years of community control with the
following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and
suspended her operator’s license for one year.
Leslie Beach, 48 of Gambier, was found guilty of Not Wearing a Seatbelt. The Court
sentenced her to pay a $ 30 fine.
Michael Morrison, 50 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Not Wearing a Seatbelt. The
Court sentenced him to pay a $ 30 fine.
Robert Rupel, 71 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced
him to pay a $25 fine.
Jason Hogan, 41 of Howard, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court
sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.

Dustin Phillips, 31 of Danville, was found guilty of Failure to Control. The Court
sentenced him to pay a $30 fine.
Travis Hollar, 25 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with 29 days
suspended, and placed him on one year of probation.
Brian Rose, 46 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The
Court sentenced him to serve four days in jail.
Jonathon Hinger, 27 of Utica, was found guilty of Domestic Violence and Driving Under
an FRA Suspension. He will be sentenced on October 16, 2018 following a pre-sentence
investigation for the Domestic Violence charge and was sentenced to pay a $200 fine for
the DUS charge.
Lucas Stagg, 36 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Assault. The Court
sentenced him to serve 14 days in jail for each count.
Jake Cullen, 27 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under
the Influence and Public Indecency. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve
180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years of community
control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention
program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year for the OVI charge. He was
also sentenced to serve three days in jail for the Public Indecency charge.
Jeffrey Moore, 55 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Driving Under
Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine and serve 10 days in jail, with
three days suspended.
Joshua Galbraith, 24 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Stop After an
Accident. The Court sentenced him to pay restitution to the victim, serve 180 days in
jail, with all time suspended, placed him on two years of probation, and suspended his
operator’s license for 180 days.
Christina Garretson, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to pay Court costs only.
Douglas Rine, 57 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Stop After an Accident
and Driving Under an FRA Suspension. He will be sentenced on October 9, 2018
following a pre-sentence investigation for the Failure to Stop After an Accident charge.
The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for the DUS charge.
Judy Callahan, 27 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court
sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.
Julie Ashbrook, 53 of Bucyrus, was found guilty of Reckless Operation of a Motor
Vehicle. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine, serve 30 days in jail, with all time

suspended, and placed her on two years of community control with the following
condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.
Mary Jane Ferguson, 51 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Reckless Operation of a
Motor Vehicle. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine, serve 30 days in jail, with all
time suspended, and placed her on two years of community control with the following
condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.
Shanda Kuhn, 32 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Having Physical Control Over a
Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or a Drug of Abuse. The Court
sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and
placed her on two years of community control.
Sheri Roberts, 55 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The
Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Donovan Beavers, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension.
The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.

Vernon in these cases.
