Christmas in July raises nearly 15,000 dollars

Christmas in July raised $14924.00 in combined cash and food on Saturday!  Thanks for getting the word out for us! If you do any follow-up, would you please let your listeners/readers know that it is not too late to support this effort. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 1052, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 at anytime with Christmas in July on the memo line.

In 2017, the Interchurch pantries provided service to 6,906 households that included 17,187
individuals. Each household receives 3 meals per day for 3 days, a total of 9 meals. If you do the math,
that is 154,683 meals! The summer months are our busiest time. Not so surprising when you think of
all the children home from school! Families that are eligible for free or reduced price lunches (and in
some cases, breakfasts) are having to provide those meals for their children during those long summer
days. Need truly knows no season!
