Place For Grace continues to raise funds

Place 4 Grace held their 2nd Annual fundraiser, Flannel Fest 2018 on Friday, November 2nd.  The evening consisted of dinner, a ministry update and of course what Flannel Fest is famous for – carnival games.

Executive Director, Kandee Popham, addressed the crowd and detailed the story filled with miracle after miracle.  She told how the ministry went from $520 in their checking account in October 2017, to owning a $300,000 home in March 2018, with a 0% interest mortgage.  Popham also shared stories of how the ministry has touched the lives of many people who have come in contact with Place 4 Grace by volunteering or even offering their services.

But it was the telling of a young girl she has been working with that touched Popham the deepest. “It has been this one single young lady He (God) has brought into my life.  Place 4 Grace isn’t even open, and yet we have been able to reach out to her and minister God’s love to her. He has formed a special bond between her and I, and her sweet baby.  He has used her to deepen my passion and stir a greater urgency within me for this ministry! I love her! I love her, not because of anything the world has done to her or says she is … but I love her because of what God has done for her and who He says she is!  She is His daughter. I don’t know if she can really grasp that yet?  Think about that … She is the daughter of a mighty, powerful King! And this world does not treat her as such.  Don’t you think she deserves to know exactly who she is? I do. Place 4 Grace does … and we want to show her and every one that comes after her.  Won’t you help us show each one?”

The ministry announced reaching their $100,000 goal would put them on track for a Mother’s Day 2019 opening.  So far they have raised $75,659.62 toward that goal. Their plea was simple, asking donors to give on a monthly basis if possible to allow them to earn the entire $10,000 being offered by an anonymous friend of the ministry.  The friend will match the first month of each gift set up as recurring monthly, with a one time gift totaling up-to $10,000. Place 4 Grace states there is still time to give and your gift will be counted toward the match. Donations may be made at Place4Grace.com/donate or mailed in to PO Box 283, Mt Vernon, OH 43050.

Place 4 Grace is a Christ centered home where unwed, pregnant, young ladies learn self-sufficiency and develop healthy family cycles through education and everyday living.  Their goal is to end cycles of poverty, abuse, addiction and unwed pregnancies.
