Rock the Park Takes Ariel-Foundation Park Aug. 23

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — “Rock the Park” with The Red Ball Jets is coming to The Schnormeier Event Center at Ariel-Foundation Park, 10 Pittsburgh Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. Sponsored by Main Street Mount Vernon (MSMV), the concert will feature a night of electric music, a beer garden, and food trucks. Tickets are $10 and benefit MSMV.


“MSMV is excited to partner with Ariel-Foundation Park in our first concert fundraiser to support downtown revitalization and economic development initiatives. We hope to see people of all ages come out to ‘Rock the Park’ and support MSMV in bringing even more events, business, and life to downtown Mount Vernon,” said Lisa Lloyd, Program Manager for the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County, and Treasurer for MSMV.


The Red Ball Jets, from North Central Ohio, include Dave Stirtzinger, Scott Cain, Mike Fowler, Larry Fowler, and Jeremie Allen. The Red Ball Jets pride themselves in their repertoire of top dance and party songs, which include selections from Classic Rock, R&B, and Modern and Alternative Rock cover tunes. Their tasteful selection of music is for all ages.
