East Knox Defense dominates in Home win over Vikings

The East Knox Bulldogs Boys High School basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 39-25 victory over Northridge Wednesday Night. The game was close early with East Knox taking a 10-9 lead to the second quarter. The Bulldog played well in the second outscoring the Vikings 11-3 to lead 21-12 at the break.

In the third the lead was expanded to 14 with the Bulldogs leading 33-19. The teams played to a 6-6 tie in the fourth giving the Bulldogs a 39-25 win. Sophomore Weston Melick scored 15 points to lead the Bulldogs to victory.

The win for East Knox was their first over Northridge since the 2012-13 season.

The Bulldogs host Mount Gilead to open conference play on Friday. East Knox finished 4-10 in the KMAC last year.
