KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches released its final Division III poll this week and the Kenyon men’s soccer team checked in at No. 10. It marks the sixth straight season in which the Lords finished ranked in the top-25.
The Lords, who started the year ranked No. 22, completed their 2018 campaign with an 18-1-3 record, winners of the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season and tournament, and made the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
Kenyon started its season 7-0-1 before a loss at Case Western Reserve University on September 26. After that, the Lords reeled off a 13-match unbeaten streak which included eight shutouts, a victory over rival Ohio Wesleyan University in the NCAC Tournament final and an improbable win against 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
