13 Found Guilty and One Sentenced in Mount Vernon Municipal Court

MOUNT VERNON –Judge David Landefeld found eight guilty after hearings were held
in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on January 9, 2023.
Tyler Hart, 21 of Danville, was found guilty of Prohibitions Concerning Companion
Animals. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine, serve 90 days in jail, with 80
days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following
conditions: cannot own or keep companion animals during term of probation and
complete 25 hours of community service.
Timothy Allen, 57 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under
the Influence of Alcohol and Failing to Stop After an Accident. The Court sentenced him
to pay a $700 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 125 days suspended, placed him on three
years of community control with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol
assessment and pay $1,500.00 to the victim, and suspended his operator’s license for
two years for the OVI charge. He was sentenced to serve 55 days in jail for the Failure to
Stop After an Accident charge.
Brandy Favill, 40 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Having Physical Control of a Motor
Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500
fine, serve 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, placed her on two years of
community control with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour driver
intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for 90 days.
Marty Groseclose, 47 of Howard, was found guilty of Reckless Operation of a Motor
Vehicle. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.
Jeremy Denman, 43 of Newark, was found guilty of Assault. He will be sentenced on
February 13, 2023 following a pre-sentence investigation.
Dylan Severns, 21 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Assault. He will be sentenced
on February 13, 2023 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Damion Fox, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Arson and Criminal Mischief. He
will be sentenced on February 13, 2023 following a pre-sentence investigation.

the State of Ohio in these cases.

after arraignments and hearings were held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on
January 10, 2023.
Robert Humphrey, 43 was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia.
The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.
Chloe Horlacher, 20 of Utica, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court
sentenced her to pay a $75 fine.
Christina Miller, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone
and Operating a Vehicle without a Valid Operator’s License. The Court sentenced her to
pay a $150 fine.
Chealsie Harris, 30 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug
Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to serve 30 days in jail, with all time
suspended.
Madison Hoffman, 20 of Johnstown, was found guilty of Underage Consumption. The
Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended,
and placed her on two years with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol
assessment.
Joseph Stanford, 21 of Mansfield, was found guilty of Domestic Violence on December
13, 2022. Today he was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended,
and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug
and alcohol assessment.
Assistant Director of Law, Brittany Whitney, represented the City of Mount Vernon in
the Stanford case.

Assistant Director of Law, Steven Thomas D. Potts, represented the City of Mount
Vernon and the State of Ohio in these cases.
