Safety key as Winter Weather threatens

Winter weather is forcasted to hit Central Ohio fairly hard this weekend and there are several things to keep in mind to stay safe during severe winter weather.

It’s a good time before a storm hits to go over your emergency kit to make sure everything is up to date.

Mark Maxwell of the Knox County Emergency Management Agency says one of the biggest risk year round in Ohio but especially during the winter months is the threat for a power outage. He says that the biggest issue with a power outage in the winter is how are you going to heat your home if your power does in fact go out.
