Seven Found Guilty in Mount Vernon Municipal Court

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found five guilty after arraignments and
hearings were held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on July 5, 2022.


Ashley Holland, 34 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to serve seven days in jail.


Gary Kuhel, 57 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under
the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with
173 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following
condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment, and suspended his operator’s
license for one year.


David Boyd, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA
Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve five days in jail.


Heather Pohlman, 37 of Allen, Indiana, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with
Fictitious Plates. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.


Noah Skaggs, 25 of Hilliard, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be
sentenced on August 16, 2022 following a pre-sentence investigation.


Assistant Director of Law, Brittany Whitney, represented the City of Mount Vernon in
the Skaggs case.


Director of Law, Rob Broeren, represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of
Ohio in the remaining cases.

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found two guilty after trials and hearings
were held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on July 6, 2022.

Stephen Carpenteri, 71 of Lyman, Maine, was found guilty of Failing to Attach a Game-
Check Tag and Taking More than One Turkey per Day. The Court sentenced him to pay

a $100 fine for each charge, and to pay $1,500 in restitution.


Michael Takatch, 26 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Operating a Motorcycle without
an Endorsement and Failing to Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced him to
pay a $150 fine for the No Endorsement charge and a $25 fine for the Failure to Control
charge.
